Behind the Design: AT Shirt vs Breezer Shirt

Shirts have hit the fan. Introducing the Breezer and AT Shirts: the nuts, bolts, and best pick for your mission.

The rumours are true. We’ve officially thrown our hats into the shirting ring. And now, we’re stoked to introduce the brand new Breezer and AT Shirts – two of the (many) new products we’ve launched this season. One designed especially for biking, one for hiking and multi-adventures, both with all the grunge and stoke we could muster. Clearly, we’re thrilled.

So, which is which and which is best for you? We’ve roped in the product development team (hey, Chiara) to help break down all the finest details and features of each shirt, and what each was made for. So, without further ado, we’ll let her do the talking.

Hey there. This is Chiara from the product development team here at Mons Royale, and new to us for the season, is shirting.

We've got two new shirts, the Breezer and the AT Shirt. The difference between these two shirts is the weight of the material, but also some of the features.

The Breezer Shirt

The Breezer is a perfect piece for biking and bike packing, whereas the AT shirt is more for hiking and outdoor adventures. The material is super lightweight, at 110 grams. It's a mix of Merino wool and lyocell, with the Merino controlling your body temperature and lyocell making it really durable.

You've got a couple of cool features here. For example, the snap button at the centre front makes it really easy to open up the shirt while you're riding. Then you have a chest pocket with a little section to put your sunglasses in to keep them safe. And we also have this little triangle, which helps you to keep your sunglasses clean and your vision sharp.

Breezer Shirt Features

At the back, we have this additional hanger loop, which helps you to hang it up and dry the shirt, especially when you're out on a bike-packing mission. On top of that, you have a longer back, so when you're bent over on your bike, you can make sure your back is covered at all times.

I've been testing this shirt since its first development stages, and I absolutely love it. I've been getting heaps of compliments, and I've been wearing it mainly in the bike park, but also on weekend missions when I’m going bike-packing.

The AT Shirt

The AT shirt is our perfect hiking and outdoor mission shirt. Similar to the Breezer, it's made out of Merino wool and lyocell, just at a slightly heavier weight. The AT shirt has some great features that make it perfect for every mission.

You've got a chest pocket, which has some storage for your sunglasses, as well as a zipper pocket for your credit card or any other valuables. Even though it's a woven shirt, it has a very casual look to it, due to not having a collar stem, and being a nice and easy fit.

We're quite proud of this shirt because it's 100% natural, using Merino wool and lyocell material, coconut buttons and cotton labelling.
